Purpose: Examine relationships between the
Haines Index and the passage or development of
synoptic-scale atmospheric patterns.

Objectives:
- Use historical data to examine the behavior of the Haines
Index during the passage of synoptic fronts for various regions of
the United States.
- Determine the relationships between such frontal passages and
Haines Index, including any regional patterns or dependencies that
are discovered.
