Tools to Assess Ecosystem Services

To help urban managers utilize research findings, various tools are developed to help improve urban forest management. These tools generally focus on programs to help assess local urban forests and their various ecosystem services and values. In addition, tools are being developed to project future forest conditions and ecosystem services, and to help determine optimal urban forest structure (species and locations) to provide optimal ecosystem services for current and future generations.
